Ray Harvey Foundation Powers Junior Sports Stars

A total of 30 local junior athletes have received cheques from the Ray Harvey Sports Foundation as part of Round 1 and 2 of the Foundation’s 2024/25 funding program.

The Foundation donated $6,700.00, helping these talented young athletes cover the costs of attending representative sports training and events.

The presentation took place at Grace Milsom Centre, Monday 23 June 2025, where members of the Ray Harvey Foundation Committee proudly awarded cheques to outstanding representative athletes.

The recipients represented a variety of sports, including athletics, basketball, BMX Racing, hockey, lawn bowls, motorcycle racing, rugby league, tennis, soccer, and swimming.

The successful applicants were Beau Britton (Rugby League), Angela Bugden (Athletics), Thomas Cole (Athletics), Charlie Cramp (Soccer), Lily Curry (Basketball), Stella Douglas*(Swimming), Daisy Hassan (Athletics), Charlton Hill (Soccer), Rhys Hopkins (Rugby League), Sid McPherson (Hockey), Charlie Nichols (Motorcycle Racing), Ruby Nichols (Basketball), Charlotte Owen (Hockey), Henry Polzin (Soccer), Bonnie Rose* (Hockey), Cameron Schultz (Hockey), Tegan Schultz (Hockey), Airlee Sheil (Hockey); Eamon Sheil (Hockey), Eamon Shiel* (Hockey & Tennis) , Jayden Shiel (Hockey & Athletics); Laura Smillie (Athletics), Poppy  Stewart (Basketball), Jordan Sturgiss (Lawn Bowls), Addison Tetley (Hockey) and Tyler Turriff* (BMZ Racing). *Denotes that this recipient received Round 1 & 2 Funding.
