Access and Inclusion (Disability) Advisory Committee

The Access and Inclusion (Disability) Advisory Committee is a committee of Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

The Committee was established to seek opportunities to improve access to Council facilities & services, to raise awareness of issues facing people with disability and to advocate for people with disability living in and visiting the Goulburn Mulwaree local government area.

Goulburn Mulwaree Sustainability Advisory Committee

The Sustainability Advisory Committee is a committee of Goulburn Mulwaree Council. The Committee is to be guided by Council’s identified priorities and is responsible for representing the sustainability views and ideas of the community through the sharing of knowledge, skills and experience from the committee.

Goulburn Mulwaree Award Working Party

The role of the Goulburn Mulwaree Award Working Party is to make all decisions relating to receipt, processing, assessment and presentation of the Goulburn Mulwaree Award. This local award is designed to recognise outstanding service or meritorious achievement by individuals to the community of the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government area.

Goulburn Mulwaree Heritage Advisory Committee

The Goulburn Mulwaree Heritage Advisory Committee was established by Council at its meeting held on the 18 February 2025.

The role of the Committee is to:

  1. Promote and celebrate heritage in our region
  2. Provide a community-based committee to comment and recommend on heritage matters of a strategic nature within the Goulburn Mulwaree local government area. This will include structure plans, local environmental plans, development control plans and other plans of a strategic nature.
  3. Provide a community-based committee to comment and recommend on development applications referred to the committee by officers, in line with a referral pathway.
  4. Raise community awareness of heritage issues particularly in relation to grants
  5. Provide comment on Local Heritage Grants and Awards.

Goulburn Rail Trail Steering Committee

The Goulburn Rail Trail Steering Committee was reestablished to continue to provide ongoing engagement as per the NSW Rail Trails Framework (June 2022) with the Aboriginal Land Council, local community and adjoining landowners in relation to the proposed Rail Trail project. This Committee is important to be able to respond to any funding opportunities that may arise.

Ray Harvey Sports Foundation Committee

The purpose of the Foundation is to give financial assistance to promising young sports people, helping them with the necessary coaching and competitive experience that is required in their chosen sport outside the City of Goulburn.

Recreation Area Committee

The role of Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Recreation Area Committee is to:

  1. Annually review and monitor the Plan of Management, and to provide recommendations to Council on how to meet the core objectives and performance targets of the Plan.
  2. Work with Council and provide recommendations for the strategic betterment of the Goulburn Recreation Area. The Strategic Objectives of Council relating to the Recreation Area, and as per the Plan of Management are:
  3. Encourage and facilitate active and creative particiation community life
  4. Maintain and update existing community facilities, and support the development of new community infrastructure as needed
  5. Foster and encourage positive social behaviours to maintain our safe, healthy and connected community o Adopt environmental sustainability practices
  6. Recognise and celebrate our diverse cultural identities and protect and maintain our community’s natural and built cultural heritage.
  7. Work with Council and provide recommendations to achieve the vision of the Recreation Area Plan of Management which is to provide a wide and evolving range of activities that generate economic, social, cultural, and environmental benefits for current and future generations, to ensure the facility continues to grow, is productive and sustainable.
  8. Review the effectiveness and performance of the Committee on an annual basis.

Sporting Hall of Fame Commitee

The role of Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Sporting Hall of Fame Committee is to:

  1.  To advise Goulburn Mulwaree Council of issues relating to the Sporting Hall of Fame
  2.  To recommend to Council applicants for induction into the Sporting Hall of Fame.

Sports Council Committee

The role of Goulburn Mulwaree Council’s Sports Council Committee is to:

  1. To make recommendations to Council on the allocation of Council sports grounds for both summer and winter seasons.
  2. To give consideration to disagreements that may occur between various sporting associations and to recommend to the Council as to the determination of the disagreements; and
  3. To advise Goulburn Mulwaree Council of sporting facilities required within the Goulburn Mulwaree region and furthermore to assist the Council with its priorities and preplanning of sports field assets.
