Council was advised on Friday, 24 October, that the Australian Government is considering reducing the default speed limit on roads outside built-up areas from 100 km/h to 70 km/h, and introducing a new default speed limit for unsealed roads.
Feedback from people who regularly drive on these roads is vital to help shape the outcome.
Council encourages all community members to share their views — even a short submission makes a difference.
