Goulburn Mulwaree Council will be opening the outdoor pool for the summer season on Monday 27th September following last week’s announcement by the NSW Government.

A strict COVID safety plan is in place for operation, and Council encourages the community to do the right thing so we are able to keep the facility open.  Rules of operation are below:

  • The facility is only open to residents of the Goulburn Mulwaree Council LGA as per the public health order
  • Masks must be worn at all times when not in the water
  • All normal COVID-19 restrictions around QR check-in, social distancing and the 4sqm rule still apply
  • Normal rules for pool use also apply, with parental supervision required for children under the age of 12.

There is no requirement for users to be fully vaccinated at this stage, but people must stay within their family groups when at the facility. Please note all points are subject to change if the NSW Government updates legislation.

No learn to swim programs, swim club or organised sporting activities are permitted, in line with the rules on community sport. Please note we also have a strict policy on get in – swim – get out.

Council encourages the community to enjoy a swim at the Goulburn Aquatic & Leisure Centre, with the water hovering between 26 – 28 degrees.
