Probus Day
Probus Day will be celebrated tomorrow - October 1, and is celebrated on this day each year.
Nationally, Probus Clubs provide retirees the opportunity to socialise with fellow retirees in their local communities and have fun and foster new friendships. There are over 1,400 Probus Clubs across the country where retirees participate in a variety of regular activities, join in trips and outings and listen to interesting guest speakers.
Here in the Goulburn Mulwaree region we have the Goulburn Combined Probus, Goulburn Ladies Probus, and Goulburn and District Probus Inc.
I encourage people who are retired or semi-retired to reach out to their local Club to find out more about how Probus can enrich their retirement. They can be contacted on 1300 630 488
School Holiday Activities
Council’s Youth Services team has a jam-packed School Holiday program running next week, from 4 – 8 October.
Some of the activities planned include:
- Tuesday 4th October Tree Tops Adventure 8am – 6pm
- Wednesday 5th October Movie Afternoon at the Community Centre from 4pm – 6pm
- Thursday 6th October Art Workshop at the Community Centre Myural from 10am – 1pm
- Friday 7th October Art Workshop at the Community Centre from 1pm – 4pm

GPAC Update
There is still some tickets available for next Saturdays ‘Rocket Man Vs Piano Man’ show at the GPAC. The show is on from 8am – 10pm and tickets start from $58.
Lance Strauss & Jimmy Mann joined forces as Elton John & Billy Joel for the Tour de Force Tribute Show in 2009. They toured this show for several years until the time came to re-vamp the show as Face2Face which they successfully toured until 2019.
Rocket Man vs Piano Man is their latest incarnation of the phenomenon which Elton John & Billy Joel together on stage. The show encompasses all the hits and chemistry of these two rock icons! Starring two of the world's most highly accomplished tribute artists, Lance Strauss & Jimmy Mann.
They tell me this show is a knock out and the GPAC team can’t wait to see you there!
