Council Launches Exhibition for Goulburn CBD Transformation Project

Goulburn Mulwaree Council is inviting the community to help shape the future of the city, as it progresses to the next stage of the CBD & Surrounds Transformation Project.
The CBD & Surrounds Transformation Project aims to revitalise the city centre by:
- Increasing foot traffic to support local businesses
- Creating a more vibrant and attractive public domain
- Expanding housing options, particularly smaller apartments and studio dwellings to support affordability and choice
- Underpinning growth with a strong focus on preserving and enhancing the unique historic character of the Goulburn City Heritage Conservation Area
The proposed amendments will be concentrated in four key areas: the CBD Core (Goulburn Central), the Northern Gateway Precinct, the Southern Gateway Precinct, and the Mixed-Use Edge.
A public exhibition will be on display from 28 July 2025 to 22 August 2025, offering residents and visitors the opportunity to explore and provide feedback on proposed changes to planning controls that will guide the growth and evolution of the Goulburn CBD and surrounding precincts.
The exhibition will be available at Council’s Civic Centre, with displays also accessible at the Goulburn Performing Arts Centre during show times.
