We are incredibly proud to announce that our first two Fresh Start Program trainees have successfully completed their Certificate II in Civil Construction, this is a fantastic achievement that marks an important milestone for both them and our organisation!

These two individuals are the first trainees we’ve supported through the NSW Government’s Fresh Start Program and their success is a testament to what’s possible when opportunity meets commitment. The Fresh Start Program is a landmark initiative funded by the NSW Government that helps local councils recruit and support apprentices, trainees, and cadets, by fully backing their wages and fostering real earn-and-learn pathways for young people. The program’s objective is to strengthen local government workforces, build capacity within councils, create meaningful employment and training opportunities, and contribute to positive social outcomesespecially for youth in our communities. We very feel fortunate to have this program supporting our council, enabling us to invest in local talent, grow essential skills in our region, and offer genuine career pathways in local government.

To our trainees:
Over the past 11 months you’ve shown remarkable dedication, resilience, and professionalism juggling on-the-job learning with your studies and always giving 100%. Your achievement is something to be truly proud of,congratulations!

To the supervisors, managers, trainers, and colleagues:
This accomplishment wouldn’t have been possible without your guidance, encouragement, and support. Thank you for being champions of our trainees and helping them thrive every step of the way.

Here’s to continued growth, opportunity, success and to many more trainees reaching their goals through the Fresh Start Program!
