Goulburn Mulwaree Council are seeking members to form the Goulburn CBD Special Entertainment Precinct Working Group.

The Working Group will provide a vital role in the provision of advice, guidance and recommendations to inform the establishment and on-going review of the Goulburn Special Entertainment Precinct.

A Special Entertainment Precinct Working Group once established will be involved in:

  • Informing and reviewing sound limits for entertainment venues and hotel & motels and where those limits should apply in the precinct;
  • evaluate trading hours and inform updated trading hours;
  • assess sound complaints procedures; and
  • evaluate the trial after 12-18 months of initial operation.

It is important that those who could be affected by the application of sound limits to premises within Goulburn CBD are involved in making the changes.

Council is seeking Working Group members with the following interests:

  • those who own/run entertainment and licensed venues in Goulburn CBD;
  • those who own/run hotels, motel or serviced apartments in Goulburn CBD; and
  • residents within and/or adjacent to the CBD, particularly along Sloane, Bradley, Bourke and Clinton Streets.

Members will also be sought from:

  • NSW Police
  • NSW Liquor and Gaming
  • Southern NSW Local Health District
  • Business 2580 (formerly Goulburn Chamber of Commerce)
  • Goulburn Mulwaree Council

Meetings will be held every two months at the Civic Centre, initially at 6pm but the most suitable time will be determined by the Working Group upon inception.

Those who are interested in joining the Special Entertainment Precinct Working Group should send an email to Council@goulburn.nsw.gov.au titled Goulburn CBD Special Entertainment Precinct Working Group, and provide:

  • Your Name
  • Address - home or business (whichever is most relevant)
  • Telephone number
  • A short statement (a couple of sentences) explaining your interest in the project.

Submissions must be received by 5pm Monday 16th June 2025.
