UPDATE: Removal and Reconstruction of Raised Crossing

Due to unforeseen circumstances commencement of the work to remove and reconstruct the raised crossing (Wombat Crossing) on Fitzroy Street has been delayed.

Work is now scheduled to take place from Friday 26 May 2023 at 5.30pm and conclude on Monday 29 May 2023, weather permitting. These works will include both day and night work.

There will be significant changes to traffic flow during with Fitzroy Street being converted to a single lane road, through the work site.  Traffic Control will be in place during this time. 

Council appreciates this can be temporarily inconvenient for residents and appreciates your understanding during these works.
