Construction on the upgrade to the Roberts Park BMX Track is scheduled to commence on 22 May 2023, and are expected to be completed by mid- July, weather permitting.

The upgrade will revitalise the existing BMX Track which has fallen into disrepair and is no longer suitable for community use. The refurbishment will restore and improve the degraded track surface, eroded edges and mounds, and deteriorated jump landing areas. Improvements include - a polymer stabilised riding surface, construction of a flat starting platform with asphalt cover, asphalt application to the berms, and improved site drainage. The new track will significantly improve safety for all riders and is expected to result in a resurgence in local BMX activity which will help to see a reintroduction of regional level competition.

Temporary fencing has been installed and site mobilisation works will soon commence.

During the construction phase contractors may be seen testing the track on bikes, this allows the track to be developed to ensure that it is functional, safe, and the best design possible is achieved.

Council asks that the community please stay out of the work site, and off the track, until it is open to the public.

The Roberts Park BMX Track Upgrade is jointly funded by the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants program in association with Goulburn Mulwaree Council.
