With the Easter holidays fast approaching April is all about movement at Goulburn Performing Arts Centre – with SILENCE a powerful First Nations Dance work by Karul Projects and Blakdance on Saturday 1st April, followed by hilarious circus fun with BOOP and holiday circus workshops for ages 7-18.

April kicks off with SILENCE - a powerful First Nations dance theatre work choreographed by Thomas ES Kelly of Karul Projects and produced by Blakdance on Saturday1st April at 7.30pm. For tickets go to https://www.goulburnpac.com.au/Events-directory/Silence

Manager of Goulburn Performing Arts Centre, Raina Savage said, “SILENCE is about the space in between. The Silence between the stars in the night sky, the silence of dancers in flight – and the silence around colonisation and the resistance of First Nations People. And it is about the call for a TREATY which will not be silenced.”

Live beating drums, powerful choreography, and stunning lighting combine on a stage slowly engulfed in dirt for a dance piece that is as impressive as it is important, part dance, part theatre, part ceremony - breaking the silence in a call for justice.

From 4th April the irrepressible, acrobatic and adaptable STATERA Circus take up residency at GPAC for 2 weeks – with performances of their hilarious and heart stopping show BOOP – Life’s a Mess – Clean up on Aisle 6! – which transforms an everyday supermarket into a chaotic world of trolley races and terrifying stunts! Statera is working with dance students from Trinity College who will present a curtain raiser performance before BOOP on Thursday 6th April. The youth workshop is funded by the NSW Government’s Holiday Break Program and is free of charge.
