New citizens welcomed to Goulburn

Goulburn Mulwaree Council on Tuesday a large Citizenship Ceremony, officially welcoming 28 new residents into the Goulburn community as Australian citizens.

Mayor Bob Kirk officiated at the ceremony, and was joined by Deputy Mayor Peter Walker for the certificate presentation to each new citizen. 

 “We are privileged to live in Australia, and in the wonderful Goulburn community, and these ceremonies have always been a reminder of this to me” said Mayor Kirk

“On Tuesday we welcomed new twenty eight excited new citizens from thirteen new countries, being Pakistan, Nepal, Iraq, England, Scotland, India, Thailand, New Zealand, China, Bangladesh, Fiji, Colombia and South Korea.”

Following the ceremony the new citizens along with family and friends enjoyed morning tea with Mayor Bob Kirk and Deputy Mayor Peter Walker.
