Now is the time to nominate a candidate for the Goulburn Mulwaree Award.

The Goulburn Mulwaree Award is a local award designed to recognise individuals, who are a resident in the Goulburn Mulwaree Local Government Area, who have demonstrated outstanding service or meritorious achievement in their community.

The nomination process for recognising someone can take place throughout the year and can be submitted by anyone. Every year, an announcement and presentation of award recipients will be made in conjunction with Goulburn's birthday on 14th March.

Nominations are assessed by the Mayor, Deputy Mayor as well as five independent community representatives, who are appointed by Council at the beginning of each Council term.

Nominations are assessed on individual merit. This includes:

  • Demonstrated achievement at a high level
  • Have contributed over and above what might be reasonably expected through paid employment.
  • Or have made a voluntary contribution to the community which stands out from other volunteers.

and having regard to:

  • Length of Service
  • Scale of Impact
  • Impact on large numbers of people
  • Transformed lives
  • Referee verification

Nominations can be submitted by completing an online form, or by downloading the nomination form at: https://www.goulburn.nsw.gov.au/Community/Goulburn-Mulwaree-Award

Nominations can be left with Councils Customer Service team or posted to Goulburn Mulwaree Council addressed to:

or submitted via email to:

council@goulburn.nsw.gov.au marked attention of the Mayor’s Office.
