Outreach Meetings around the corner

Goulburn Mulwaree Council has confirmed the calendar for the 2019 Community Outreach Meetings.

The meetings provide an opportunity for community members to meet and discuss council related issues with Councillors and senior staff; rural communities are encouraged to come along and have their say on council matters and projects.

I encourage community members to come along not just to meet the councillors but to also come and voice your thoughts, opinions and ideas. The full schedule for 2019 can be found below:

Free microchipping/vaccination for pets

Council, in partnership with the RSPCA, is this weekend hosting a free microchipping and vaccination day for cats and dogs owned by residents of the Goulburn Mulwaree area with a pension or health care card.

The event will take place this Saturday 28th September from 10am until 1pm at the Goulburn Recreation Area (Braidwood Road). Bookings are essential and can be made by calling 0432 884 400.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council would also like to thank the Clinton Street Veterinary Clinic, Goulburn Veterinary Clinic and Crookwell Veterinary Hospital for their support of this day.

Goulburn Community Bike Ride

Community members are once again being encouraged to join the Goulburn Community 5km Bike Ride, to be held Monday 7th October at Carr Confoy in Eastgrove.

This year’s event will be held on the Monday of the October long weekend, to hopefully enable families who may travel away for the weekend to plan to be involved in the bike ride.

The community bike ride is a relaxed, family friendly event that I’d encourage everyone to get involved in. The ride is held in the beautiful weather of spring, and finishes with a free BBQ lunch and drink – who doesn’t like a free lunch!

Registration, bike and helmet safety checks begin from 9:30am, with the 5km escorted family ride kicking off at 10am. We ask for a gold coin donation for the ride, and all participants will receive a bike repair kit and bells for their bike.
