Community members are once again being encouraged to join the Goulburn Community 5km Bike Ride, to be held Monday 7th October at Carr Confoy in Eastgrove.

This year’s event will be held on the Monday of the October long weekend, to hopefully enable families who may travel away for the weekend to plan to be involved in the bike ride.

Mayor Bob Kirk donned a helmet earlier this week with General Manager Warwick Bennett for a photo shoot on a beautiful spring day to promote the event.

“The community bike ride is a relaxed, family friendly event that I’d encourage everyone to get involved in. The ride is held in the beautiful weather of spring, and finishes with a free BBQ lunch and drink – who doesn’t like a free lunch” said Mayor Kirk.

Come and join the fun for a chance to win a share of over $2000 in prizes, which includes four new bikes!

Registration, bike and helmet safety checks begin from 9:30am, with the 5km escorted family ride kicking off at 10am. We ask for a gold coin donation for the ride, and all participants will receive a bike repair kit and bells for their bike.

The ride goes around the Goulburn Wetlands and the golf course, before finishing back at Carr Confoy for the BBQ.

The Community Bike Ride is proudly sponsored by Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Goulburn Soldiers Club and Boral.
