Council wishes to advise that the non-enforcement period for timed parking around the Goulburn Base Hospital has been extended to Monday 6th January 2020.

Signage was put up in October, and permits distributed to households, staff of the Hospital and Goulburn High School. No fines are being issued throughout the introductory period through until 6th January 2020.

“We have decided to extend the introductory period as significant works on the project won’t be ramping up until the start of next year” said Mayor Bob Kirk.

“The site itself is able to handle all traffic associated with construction until January, therefore we are comfortable in extending this non-enforcement period. Again I’d like to reinforce that our priority throughout the project is to ensure residents, staff and people visiting the hospital are able to park and access the facility safely and conveniently throughout this process.”

Residents and business owners who have not already done so are encouraged to apply for a parking permit. Applications and further details are available via the following means:

The permit allows you to park within designated zones for longer than the signposted time limit. It does not allow you to park in other parking restricted zones such as “No Stopping,” “No Parking,” “Bus,” “Loading,” or “Disabled Parking.”

If you have already applied for a parking permit for the Hospital precinct timed parking zones, your permit will be posted out to you before the end of November 2019.
