Coronavirus Response

Council made a number of decisions in response to the Coronavirus including requiring all sports cease until the end of April 2020, cancelling a number of events, ceasing programs at the Aquatic Centre, Museums, Library and Art Gallery and cancelling non-essential meetings. A full media release will be forthcoming.

 Goulburn Aquatic Centre Redevelopment

The Councillors awarded the contract for construction of stage 1 of the Goulburn Aquatic Centre Redevelopment to FDC Contracting for a total price of $29.87m. FDC Contracting have undertaken a number of aquatic centre projects, and we look forward to construction getting underway in September.   

Goulburn Hockey Facilities

Authority was delegated to the Mayor and General Manager to continue negotiations with the Workers Club for purchase of 3.3 hectares of land currently used for hockey at the Workers Arena.

North Park Master Plan

A master plan for North Park that was put together by a working party was endorsed by Council. Staff will now identify projects to be carried out within the next two years in forward capital works programs for consideration by Council, and will also work with the users of North Park to identify grant funding.

May Street Bridge Construction

The tender for construction of the May Street Bridge was awarded to SD Group. The revised project cost of this project is $1.26m.

Riverside Park Footpaths

Form and Pour Constructions were awarded the contract for the next stage of the footpath network being constructed at Riverside Park in Marys Mount. This section is approximately 1km in length, and will in future be connected to the Crookwell Road shared path and the Wollondilly River Walkway
