Goulburn Mulwaree Council is continuing to prioritise essential services for our community throughout the evolving Coronavirus COVID-19 situation. To be able to continue with provision of essential waste services, Council will make the following changes to waste services starting Thursday 2 April 2020.

  • Tarago Waste Management Centre will only be open from 8am to 11am on Thursday and Saturday mornings only. This arrangement will start on Thursday 2 April.
  • Marulan Waste Management Centre will only be open from 12.30pm to 4pm on Thursday and Saturday afternoons only. This arrangement will start on Thursday 2 April.
  • Goulburn Waste Management Centre will only be open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8am to 2pm.

“The changes are designed to ensure we can continue to provide essential waste services at this time while also putting in place measures to better protect our staff and the public,” Mayor Bob Kirk said.

“We have realigned our waste team, who will now work split shifts to minimise contamination can occur between staff changeovers. These measures are designed to help ensure we can continue to provide all waste services, including collections, at this difficult time. The three bin domestic waste collections are currently not affected and will continue as usual until further notice.

“We thank everyone in our community for the support and understanding that has been demonstrated as Council responds to the impacts of COVID-19.”
