From the 7 to 9 February 2020, the 24th annual Australian Blues Music Festival will showcase the very best of emerging and established Aussie blues talent.

Across 3 days, over 25 incredible blues acts will perform in multiple venues around Goulburn, NSW, from various times throughout the day through to midnight, transforming the beautiful, historic city into a blues music destination not to be missed.

Due to the heartbreaking bushfire crisis that is currently occurring across NSW and Australia, the previously advertised ticketed event will now be a FREE event, so that affected families, friends and neighbouring communities who have been dealing with this unprecedented disaster, can escape to the festival to have some healing time out, whilst enjoying some beautiful blues music, within a supportive community. We will invite all of our patrons to make a donation at the door of each of the festival venues, with all door proceeds going to the bushfire appeal. All festival attendees who have already purchased a ticket will be immediately refunded as quickly as possible.

Due to the concerns about the air quality within this region over the duration of the festival, we have relocated all activities at Seiffert Oval. Entertainment scheduled on the main stage at the oval has now moved to the indoor auditorium at the Goulburn Workers Club. This will mean all entertainment will be offered within the seven fabulous pubs & clubs in Goulburn City centre. The blues marketplace will return to Belmore Park. The 2020 festival will present fabulous headline acts including the Backsliders, 2011 Aria Blues & Roots nominees and iTunes Australia Blues and Roots Album of the Year winners, Kate Lush Band, Liza Ohlback and many more, along with a celebration of local talent in School Yard Blues. Performances can be seen at multiple Goulburn venues including:- Goulburn Workers Club, Goulburn Soldiers Club, Tattersalls Hotel, Astor Hotel, Southern Railway Hotel, Goulburn Club, and Goulburn Railway Bowling Club.

Newly appointed event managers of the festival, Australian National Events, are excited to be working, over the next 5 years, with such an incredibly passionate community who love their music and the fabulous Goulburn Mulwaree Council who are so driven to building great events for their town and their people.

Event Producer, Scott McDuff said, “We are thrilled to be producing this iconic festival for the blues community to come together and celebrate their love of blues music in a relaxed, fun and festival environment. In light of the current damage and destruction that our neighbouring communities are facing due to the horrific Bushfire crisis, we are pleased to get behind and support those affected communities in their recovery, by returning to a free event, where all door donations at each venue will go to the bushfire appeal.”

The incorporation of headline acts, blues marketplace, plus over 25 fantastic blues acts performing throughout 7 pubs and clubs throughout Goulburn, buskers competition, and School Yard Blues, plus a free shuttle bus to all venues are all wonderful reasons to support the 2020 Australian Blues Music Festival www.australianbluesfestival.com.
