The Canberra Region Joint Organisation (CRJO) is a regional leader that provides services to its eleven member Councils. One of those service is internal auditing. To achieve the requirements of the State Government we must establish an Audit Risk and Improvement Committee to work with the participating Council and the Internal Audit Manager.

The objective of the Audit Risk and Improvement Committee is to provide independent advisory and assurance services to CRJO on internal audit, external audit, risk management, compliance, fraud control, financial management and external accountability, governance, strategic planning, service reviews, collection of performance measurement data by the CRJO and opt in Councils and any other matters prescribed by the regulation.  A copy of the Committee Charter is available using the link below.

The opt in Councils are Goulburn Mulwaree Council, Snowy Monaro Council, Upper Lachlan Shire Council and Yass Valley Council.

The CRJO is seeking applications from qualified persons for the Audit Risk and Improvement Committee. The criteria including remuneration for this Committee is available on the participating Council websites and the CRJO website www.crjo.nsw.gov.au.
