Mayoral Golf Day
The 9th annual Holcim Mayoral
Charity Golf Day has been announced for Friday the 24th of November this year.
2016 was an extremely successful event with
just under 100 hundred golfers taking part in the day which raised over $15,000
for local charitable organisations.
In 2017 the beneficiaries of the Golf Day will
be the Challenge Foundation, Goulburn Uniting Church drop-in centre and the
Goulburn Loco Roundhouse Preservation Society. Holcim Australia has committed
to the event as major sponsor for a further four years.
I would like to thank all of our sponsors for
2017, in particular Holcim Australia (major sponsor) and the Goulburn Soldiers
Club (Silver sponsor) – the full list of sponsors is on our website and we’d
encourage you to support them.
We are now seeking team nominations and spaces
are filling up quickly, so if you are interested please get in touch with
Debbie on 4823 4552 or Debbie.mccarthy@goulburn.nsw.gov.au
Marulan Kite Festival
The Marulan
Kite Festival has become one of the many great events celebrated annually in
our region, and it is on again this weekend from Friday through to Sunday!
Friday will see the official opening of the Kite
Festival and Art Exhibition from 7pm at the Marulan Community Hall. Saturday
has local community groups running various workshops in and around town, with
an open air Disney movie (Moana) in Tony Onions Park during the evening. On
Sunday there will be a number of activities including kite making and flying,
the parade, pet show, paper plane games and many market stalls. It’s definitely
worth a short drive to Marulan this weekend!
