Goulburn Airport
The Goulburn Airport is an area of approximately 63 hectares and is located on Windellama Road Goulburn about 7km out of the City.
At its meeting held on 16 December 2008, Council resolved to sell the Airport to Domain Corporation Pty Limited for $2.65 million. Domain will be developing a master plan for the airport in consultation with Council and all stakeholders. Managing Director of Domain Corporation Pty Limited, George Tsovaris, is proposing a $25million capital improvement program at the airport over the next 7 years. Domain will be upgrading the airport into a first class aviation drawcard to accommodate pilot training, freight distribution and other aviation related industries.
The Contract of sale is a public document and contains stringent protections to ensure that the airport must remain as a CASA registered and operational airport.
Contracts were exchanged in February 2009, with settlement to take place on or before 30 June 09.
