Snow Safety
Goulburn Mulwaree Council, local Police and the RTA are urging snow travellers to start planning their trip well before jumping in the car to head for the snow.
The Love a Day in the Snow booklet was devised to reduce the number of crashes and associated injuries happening in southern NSW each year as thousands make their way to and from the snowfields.
High profile policing and road safety messages from the RTA are in place but it's up to drivers to plan their trip with care and change their behaviour on our roads to reduce the number of crashes.
The 'Love a day in the Snow' booklet includes tips for planning a trip to the snow including issues to be discussed by groups before leaving such as who will share the driving and where's a good place to stop for a break to avoid driver fatigue." A day in the snow is an amazing experience and that's what should make the trip memorable, not a crash on the way back.
