Local Government Road Safety Program

The New South Wales Local Government Road Safety Program (LGRSP) aims to improve road safety by encouraging Councils to give higher priority to road safety at the local level, to adopt road safety management plans and to undertake activities in the community to achieve behavioural change.
The Program is a joint initiative between Councils and the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority.
A Road Safety Officer has been part of the Engineering team since September 1997.
