Goulburn and Mulwaree Demographic Profile and Projections Report
The report was prepared by SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd on behalf of the Goulburn and Mulwaree Local Government Authorities (due to boundary adjustments the Local Government area is now called Goulburn Mulwaree Council). Publication date April 2003.
In October 2002, SGS Economics and Planning Pty Ltd was commissioned by Goulburn City Council to prepare a demographic profile and population projections for the areas of Goulburn City and Mulwaree Shire. The study objectives were to -
- Prepare a population, economic and social profile of the existing Goulburn and Mulwaree communities (including related villages of Marulan, Taralga, Tarago, Tallong and Bungonia)
- Identify changes and trends in regional demographics and the causing factors
- Prepare demographic projections for the next 10 - 15 years
- Assess and interpret the base information and report on the implications for the Local Government Areas in a regional context of population change, economic and social development.
