Goulburn Mulwaree Council has adopted a Rate Hardship Policy, designed to provide assistance to ratepayers suffering substantial financial hardship.  

The policy was adopted at an Extraordinary Meeting on 12 May as part of the Draft 2009/2010 Management Plan process. 

Acting General Manager Chris Berry said Council had passed the Rate Hardship Policy unanimously, reflecting the concern in the community about the financial crisis which has gripped the economy.
