Lawn cemeteries reopen ahead of schedule

Friends and families can visit grave sites in the lawn Sections P1, P2 and P3 at Kenmore Cemetery and Section 9 of the General Cemetery a week earlier than expected following the installation of new irrigation and turf.
Goulburn Mulwaree Council had expected to close the areas until Friday 3 October to complete the major component of the improvement works. But Council’s Executive Manager Engineering Terry Cooper said the work was largely completed a week earlier than expected thanks to a conscientious effort by Parks and Gardens staff, combined with good weather conditions.
