Celebrating 20 Years of Community Transport
![]() |
The Goulburn and District Community Transport Service staff of Peter Grady, Beth Rawlinson, Sheree Cunningham and Richard Hammond with one of the Service’s newest buses. |
For the past 20 years, the Goulburn and District Community Transport Service has been helping the area’s frail aged and younger people with disabilities maintain their independence.
The Service provides a vital link to the community for many people who otherwise find transportation difficult. The service provides essential access for 900 clients to medical services, assists in maintaining social connections and overcomes the isolation for many living in rural areas.
To celebrate the Service’s 20th anniversary, a special morning tea will be held as part of the Community Transport Committee Meeting at 10.30am on Friday 19 June at the McDermott Centre.
