Deputy Mayor Bob Kirk
First time Councillor Robert (Bob) Kirk was born and raised in Goulburn.
He joined the Commonwealth Bank in 1966, working at nine other country branches before returning to Goulburn in 1991 as a Senior Branch Manager. Cr Kirk left the bank in 1998 in order to remain in Goulburn and has held several other local management and administrative positions since then. He has been a Justice of the Peace since 1975.
Cr Kirk spent his first 17 years, and the past 17 years, of his life in Goulburn. He has been married to Christel for 35 years, and has two daughters, Rebecca and Amanda. In his spare time Cr Kirk enjoys gardening, golf and genealogy. He is a passionate rugby league enthusiast and has been heavily involved with the sport in many different areas. In 2000 he was awarded life membership of the Goulburn District Rugby League Football Club.Cr Kirk wants to be a driving force in a unified council that will result in positive and progressive growth for the Goulburn Mulwaree area. He also wants to improve the lifestyle for all residents to the extent that everyone will be proud to skite about the fact they are part of the Goulburn Mulwaree community.
