Community Transport Committee
Goulburn And District Community Transport This service provides transport for frail aged people, younger people with disabilities, carers and people living in rural remote areas who may be transport isolated. The service operates on the Local Government areas of Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan Shires. The service is based at the McDermott Centre, 163 Auburn Street, Goulburn. This program is funded under the Home and Community Care Program and also receives Community Transport Program Funds, which allows for the provision of transport for people who are transport isolated because of geographic remote areas. This program operates and meets HACC standards and adheres to the Disability Services Act of 1993. The service, in partnership with the Greater Southern Area Health Service also provides transport to health facilities for non-essential health related purposes.
