Goulburn Skate Park

Last modified: March 15, 2005 - 10:14 AM

The Goulburn Skate Park is a community facility provided by the Goulburn Mulwaree Council.

Skating elements: Goulburn Skate Park is over 1200 square metres of concrete and steel. There are quarter pipes, bowls, grid blocks, rails, steps and platforms. Built by Dorfus and the crew from Convic, it's the best skate park in the region. Skateboard.com gives it a 5 star rating and writes "heaps of nice transitioned sections including over vert nodule, fair few rails, ledges and banks."

Location and access: The Goulburn Skate Park is located in Victoria Park, entry from Deccan Street. It is approximately 3 blocks from the main street and accessed from the city centre by walking/cycle paths through Victoria Park or by road. Victoria Park also includes other recreation facilities: Goulburn Aquatic Centre, children's playground, tennis courts, Sieffert Oval (cycle track & cricket), Prell Oval (cricket) and rose gardens.

Safety: Goulburn Skate Park is for skateboards, rollerblades, rollerskates, scooters and bicycles.

Daylight use only.

Goulburn Mulwaree Council wishes to advise that skating is a high risk sporting activity. Use of the facility is at your own risk. Wear the gear! Riders must use equipment appropriate to their ability. Safety equipment is to be worn at all times. All riders of bicycles must wear a Standards Australia approved helmet. All riders of skateboards, rollerblades and other wheeled toys should wear a helmet and other protective equipment such as wrist guards, elbow and knee pads. Children must have parental supervision. Goulburn Skate Park does not provide any supervision. A copy of the brochure detailing aspects of the skate park is attached for your information.
