Aged and Disability ServicesGoulburn Mulwaree Council offers a number of Community Services to residents of the local government area. The McDermott Centre is the base for community services offered by Council. Services include -
Goulburn and District Aged Care Forum - 21 Dec 2004 The purpose of the Aged Care Forum is to discuss issues, share experiences or recommend strategies, which will ensure that the district's older citizens can continue to live safely in the community and in their homes. more .. Community Transport - 21 Dec 2004 This service provides transport for frail aged people, younger people with disabilities carers and people living in rural remote areas who may be transport isolated. The service operates in the Local Government areas of Goulburn Mulwaree and Upper Lachlan. more .. The McDermott Centre - 21 Dec 2004 Goulburn's former Town Hall, in Goulburn's main street Auburn St, is now a community centre, the McDermott Centre. more .. McDermott Respite Service - 21 Dec 2004 The McDermott Respite Service offers centre based respite care for frail aged persons with centre based meals, social morning teas and activities during the day. more .. Leisure Link - 21 Dec 2004 Leisure Link is a recreation program which aims to provide and promote independence and community integration for people with a physical or intellectual disability aged between 15 and 45 years. more .. Neighbour Aid - 21 Dec 2004 Neighbour Aid is a program of community support and assistance to elderly, disabled people in the Goulburn Mulwaree area. more .. |
